2/27/2017 What inspired this Canadian couple to experience our DYD Tour

I recently met a great Canadian couple and while on tour got caught up on what’s occurring in my home nation. It appears the combination of out of touch politicians along with their costly social programs is pushing Canada over the edge. They’re taxing their productive citizens to death.
I interviewed this young couple from Alberta who may have reached their limit. They’re tired of their Governments reckless spending. I’ve mentioned in prior posts that everyone’s got their number so what’s yours? Seems the breaking point for them was 43. That’s right 43 cents of every hard earned dollar is going to subsidize a broke mishandled entity. Almost half of every dollar they earn is currently funding their Government, the Dracula that sucks the lifeblood right out of us all.
I bring up a valid point learned from decades of offshore living. Over the past few decades it seems that some sort of paradigm shift has occurred. What once was considered normal has shifted. In past decades most citizens lived worked and died in their country of origin. They never left the country they were born in. While this still holds true for most but for the prudent that’s shifted. The open minded now view offshore living through a new set of lenses. In fact it’s taken a whole different direction. The prudent recognize as a foreigner it’s you who receive many of the perks. It’s the close minded still stuck in an outdated world who are the ones paying for it.
The citizen been replaced by the foreigner by the refugee? This young Canadian couple has decided enough is enough. For them I guess that magic number was 43 and is now seriously looking at leaving Canada for a better lifestyle with less Government intrusion.
