2/21/2017 Interview with Cabrera’s Mayor Jorge Cavoli – Part 2

In part two we chat about one of the most important aspects for both residents and tourists. We delve into the subject of security. Security seems to be at or unquestionably near the top of everyone’s list. According to Jorge these strategies must be implemented in order to maintain Cabrera’s security. During our chat Jorge mentions that during his previous two plus terms there’s never been a homicide involving a single foreigner. Jorge mentions “in the two and something terms that I have been mayor of the city we have never had a single foreigner killed”. Jorge feels what might have happened is “at some point the local authorities may have lost the grip on crime”. Jorge strongly advocates “you cannot lose the grip” if the town is to remain safe. Jorge further submits “we cannot let the security situation get out of our hands”. Join me in what I’m sure you’ll find is not only thought-provoking but realistic.
